The Neues Stadtmuseum vis-a-vis the Heilig-Kreuz-Church hosts a cross-section of Landsbergs history. From early discoveries to medieval examples of local craftmanships to exhibitions of contemporary artists, the museum offers an interesting insight. The Herkomer-Museum displays paintings, graphic art, sculptures, and souvenirs. The appendant studio tower (1888) was named by the artist in remembrance of his mother: Mutterturm.

The summer residence of a family of artists. An idyllic garden containing bridges, ponds, and an old tree population, surrounding an Art Nouveau villa - a visit to the artists house "Künstlerhaus Gasteiger" and its garden is rewarding in any season of the year. The country house was built shortly after the year 1900 by the artist-couple Mathias and Anna Sophie Gasteiger who used it as their summer residence. Within the house, sculptures and paintings of both artists are exhibited. With its largely original furnishings from 1908 to 1913, the museum offers its guests a typical artists" household of the early 20th century.
