The village of Durach - 4 km south of Kempten - which originally was a rural place, has turned into an up-and-coming community of more than 6,000 inhabitants. Located around the historic centre with the baroque church, which dates back to the 14th century, and the vicarage with its 500-year-old linden tree, there are residential and commercial buildings as well as farm houses. Abundant flower ornaments and the lush green of the chestnut trees along the stream „Durach“, namesake of the village, convey a feeling of comfort and cosiness. Within a few minutes you can reach Kempten, Germany’s oldest town, with its numerous historic sights.
