Google Maps County Erlangen-Höchstadt
The county of Erlangen-Höchstadt was formed during the Bavarian local government reform in 1972 and is made up of the two former counties of Erlangen and Höchstadt on Aisch.
It is a truly diversified county, in many senses: geographically, the west of the county is part of the Steigerwald Forest, the east is part of the foothills of the Franconian Hills. The Regnitz River valley connects the margrave town of Erlangen and the picturesque town of Baiersdorf. In the whole county you’ll find opposites combined in harmony. Rural and urban, industrial and agricultural structures as well as tradition and progress.
