Feldafing – „Pearl on the Lake“

Visit the beautiful Roseninsel (Rose Island) – one of Feldafing's registry offices is located on this historically significant island where many couples take their wedding vows every year. Transportation is provided on an original, historic boat.

For 24 years, Feldafing served as Austrian Empress Sisi’s summer residence. A monument to the empress can be found in the park of the hotel "Kaiserin Elisabeth". The community right by Lake Starnberg is the site of many magnificent Wilhelminian villas such as Villa Waldberta (today an artists’ residence). The train station has been designed in the style of Italian villas.
