Hof lies halfway between Munich and Berlin, nestled between Fichtel Mountains and Franconian Forest, Thuringian Forest, Vogtland and the Bohemian Spa Region.

It is a town to shop and stroll through. Hof's pedestrian zone is a lively place with shops, markets, cafes and beer gardens.

Theresienstein Park which extends over an area of 70 hectare was chosen most beautiful park of Germany. Particularly fascinating are the pavilions and turrets, the ponds and fountains which constitute an English style park. Worth visiting are also the botanical garden, the zoo and the geological garden.
