Kreuztor

The city's most famous landmark - the Kreuztor:

The most beautiful of all the preserved city gates leads into the old town from the west. Four small corner towers and sparingly used limestone decorations embellish the brick-red gate tower from the late 14th century, a romantic witness to medieval architecture. Once part of the second massive ring of fortifications, the Kreuztor is now regarded as a landmark of the city.
