Behind the Old City Hall (Altes Rathaus) stands St. Moritz' Church, which - with a history reaching back to the 9th century - is the city's oldest parish church. The impressive features inside the church include the Immaculata, one of the most beautiful Rococo statuettes in the Bavarian region. Next to the original Romanesque church tower stands a slim Gothic tower which was formerly used as a town watchtower (Pfeifturm).
