Located between the River Danube in the North and the River Inn in the South, Lower Bavaria is certainly one of Germany's most beautiful destinations.

Around Straubing (the Agnes-Bernauer-Town) the spacious, plane grain fields serve as Bavaria's "granary", extending all the way to Deggendorf, the "Gateway to the Bavarian Forest". In the West they border on the hops fields of Hallertau. And the further South you go, more and more hills make the scenery increasingly exciting. In between you"ll find the picturesque valleys of Laaber, Isar, Vils and Rott.

Here, in the South-East of the region steaming hot springs bring out thermal water, inviting you to relax and regenerate in the "Bayerisches Thermenland" - the Bavarian therapeutic spas of Bad Füssing, Bad Griesbach, Bad Birnbach, Bad Abbach und Bad Gögging.

Bad Griesbach is Europe's largest Golf Center; the golfing academy uses the "Universal Golf Learning System", one of the most modern teaching systems.

Tradition, cullinary specialties, festivities - from the Landshut Wedding ("Landshuter Hochzeit") to Bavaria's second largest folk festival, the "Gäubodenvolksfest" in Straubing - all have a secure place in Lower Bavaria's tradition.
