In the Unterallgäu, home of the famous Kneipp health treatments, well-developed cycle path and hiking network, bi-weekly cycle meetings in summer.

Many sports facilities: indoor and outdoor pool, bathing lake, tennis, squash and badminton hall, skating rink, minigolf, riding school, Kneipp water treading treatments, angling in the Mindel.

Culture and Tradition

Historic old town with patrician stucco houses, picturesque streets and lanes, ancient town gates and towers, churches and chapels; Mindelburg, home of Georg von Frundsberg, the "Father of Landsknechte" (lansquenets). Great Frundsberg festival every three years. Baroque Jesuitenkirche church (around 1720), gravestone of Duke Ulrich von Teck (1432) Pfarrkirche St. Stephan church. Pride in tradition, and pleasure in what the traditional lifestyle has to offer, are demonstrated in numerous events: carnival procession, Josefi-Bock, craft and pottery market, jazz festival, St. Catherine and wine festival, Christmas market. Year-round exhibitions, theatre, concerts.
