The area around the city of Nuremberg with its numerous parks, forests and lakes is the ideal place for your recreational activities. You can go on a bike tour with your family, take a walk around Lake Rothsee with your friends or simply go for a run “around the block”.

But maybe you are more interested in getting to know the city itself? Instead of doing sports yourself you’d rather watch some professional sports matches? No problem, in the Nuremberg area you can watch football and ice hockey matches as well as the touring championships.
Make sure to wear the color red when you go to the Franken-Stadium, home of the legendary “Club”, the Nuremberg FC. Alternatively you can go and watch another top-notch team, the “Ice Tigers”, shinning the puck across the ice.
The Norisring Race is a world-famous motor sports event and the only race of the DTM (German Touring Car Championship) that takes place on a city course. More than 100 000 motor sports and Norisring fans visit the area of Steintribüne and Dutzendteich every summer, to watch world’s best formula 3 drivers in various competitions.
But also the city of Fuerth boasts a top-team of its own. The Fuerth Sports Club was founded on September 23, 1903 and their all-time goal is to play in the top league. Real football enthusiasts know that the club has actually been very successful: German Champion in 1914, 1926 and 1929, Vice Champion in 1920 and Southern German Champion in 1914, 1924, 1931 and 1950.
