Welcome to Ochsenfurt

This picturesque town is centrally located at the heart of the Franconian Wine Country only 20 kilometers from Würzburg and 40 kilometers from Rothenburg.

Worth seeing are the historic townscape with its medieval fortification, the gothic town hall with its elaborate clock, the picturesque half-timbered houses as well as the museum of traditional dresses, the local history museum in the little palace (Schlösschen), the historic charterhouse in Tückelhausen monastery and the Triasmuseum "An der Ochsenfurt".

The outdoor smithy at Bollwerk and Riemenschneider's St. Nikolaus statue in the town's parish church are also worth a visit. Cyclist and hikers will discover beautiful and restful landscape. Traditional festivals are a particular experience:  Whitsun horse procession, ox- and bratwurst (sausage) festival.
