The tapping of the barrel: „O´zapft is! “
The Oktoberfest traditionally starts on a Saturday in mid September and ends on the first Sunday in October. The exact dates can be found in our section of the current year under "Wiesn-Calendar".
Beer is sold between these hours:
- Opening day: 12.00 a.m. - 10.30 p.m.
- Weekdays: 10.00 a.m. - 10.30 p.m.
- Saturday, Sunday, Public holidays: 09.00 a.m. - 10.30 p.m.
- Closing time: 11.30 p.m.
- "Käfers Wiesnschänke" and "Weinzelt" are open till 01.00 a.m., beer is sold until 0.15. a.m.
Stalls
- Opening day: 10.30 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.
- Monday to Friday: 10.00 a.m. - 11.30 p.m.
- Saturday: 09.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.
- Sunday, Public holidays: 09.00 a.m. - 11.30 p.m.
Fun rides:
- Opening day: 12.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.
- Monday to Friday: 10.00 a.m. - 11.30 p.m.

- Every Tuesday afternoon until 6 p.m. Discounts on fares and entrance fees.
Final: „Aus is!" ("It's over" in Bavarian dialect)
The Oktoberfest usually ends 14 days after it started, at the first sunday in October. If the 3rd of October, a public holiday in Germany, falls on a Monday of a Tuesday, the Oktoberfest lasts one or two days longer.
