The Oktoberfest will become an unforgettable event if everybody respects the following easy rules:
- Even the nicest festival evening ends sometime. Between 1.30 a.m. and 6.00 a.m. only authorized personnel is allowed to stay on the fairground. Entrance to the showmen's areas with their trailers and camps is generally prohibited.
- Dangerous objects are strictly forbidden. This includes weapons of any kind, pepper and gas sprays.
- Inlineskates, skateboards, kickboards and scooters are wonderful toys but not allowed in the streets of the fairground. For bikes there are parking spaces at the gates of the Oktoberfest.
- If nature calls use one of the many toilets provided. There are signs everywhere which show you the way to the nearest one.
- Animals must keep out of the fairground. This does not count for guide dogs, of course.
- After 8 p.m. children and youths under the age of 16 are only allowed to stay on the fairground in the company of their parents or legal guardians. Children under the age of 6 are only allowed to stay in a beer tent until 8 p.m. and only in company of parents or legal guardians.
- Sunday through Friday, prams on the fairground are only allowed until 6 p.m. On Saturdays, prams are generally prohibited on the Oktoberfest.
- Do not paint, write or glue anything on the facilities and equipments of the Oktoberfest.
- Alcoholic beverages can be bought on the fairground. Bringing your own is not allowed.
- Unauthorized sale of goods of any kind, private artistic shows, and distribution of advertising material is forbidden. The same counts for begging and hawking.
- Please obey to the above rules and thus avoid a fine or even to be sent off the grounds.
