Freeway A9 Nuremberg-Munich leads you from Middle Franconia to Upper Bavaria.
You are exactly in the middle of Bavaria now! Old Bavarian villages are located on the left and right side of the freeway. Continuing to Munich, you cross the Hallertau, the biggest hop-planting area in the world. Nearby is Schrobenhausen, a city famous for its asparagus. You will notice immediately that Upper Bavaria starts here.
