Rhoen Highlights

Usually, we choose highlights from a certain region – in this case,  Roehn - the region itself is the highlight. The unique nature and landscape are reason enough to explore it in your vacation. UNESCO recognized Rhoen as a biosphere reserve in 1991, in order to preserve this singular low mountain range landscape. In partnership with local residents, concepts to secure, maintain, and develop Rhoen are created and implemented. In 2002, the biosphere reserve received the award of “Region of the Future” for the innovative projects to realize sustainable development on the basis of exemplary cooperation of the federal states.

Bad Kissingen

The town by the Franconian Saale River has been known as a therapeutic spa since the 16th century and developed into a health resort for Emperors and Kings, due to its thermal springs and its healing moor. It is Germany’s best-known sanitarium, and one of Europe’s most flourishing towns. Bad Kissingen presents itself as multifaceted and cosmopolitan town: Health and Recreation, Art and Culture can be combined perfectly. The grand spa and park complexes, as well as the Germany-wide singular health-infrastructure with Regentenbau (regent's building) and Arkadenbau (arcade building), Europe’s largest pump rooms, and the casino, provide a unique flair and an international atmosphere.

The town offers a top-notch, varied cultural program throughout the year. Particularly impressive is the KissSalis resort, with its complex of different spa sceneries. The visitor is offered a broad range of health and wellness services; where once Emperors and Kings were treated, today you can enjoy „royal“ pleasures.
