Welcome to Rohrbach

Rohrbach's history goes back more than 1100 years. Joint together with Fahlenbach and Buchersried it now forms a modern community. Its structure has changed markedly from farming village to residential area with industry and agriculture after World War II.

However, beautiful buidlings remained, for example lovely farm houses in all localities, the castle of the Noble of Koch as well as the churches in Ottersried, Gambach, Rohr, Ossenzhausen, Fahlenbach and Waal. Rohbach's castle, church, town hall and tavern, once seat of wordly, ecclesiastical and peasant authority, form an impressive historic ensemble.

Hikers and cyclists appreciate trips into the hilly landscape with its hops gardens in all seasons. Rohrbach's christmas market, festivities and gastronomy are popular throughout the Ilm Valley.
