Visit The Hot Air Balloon Festival in Bad Wiessee From 21. to 28. January

This colorful event in Bad Wiessee takes place for the 12. time now. Hot air balloons of various sizes, colors and sometimes bizarre shapes will rise up in front of the romantic background of the Tegernsee Alps and enchant the spectators.

More than 30 pilotes are being awaited this year. Balloonists as well as spectators have come to value the Tegernsee Montgolfiade so much that meanwhile a considerable community of fans has formed. Especially the 'Glowing of the Balloons' attracts more and more people. Therefore the organizers have decided to stage this event on two evenings this time, January 27. and 28. Glowing balloons then illuminate the event grounds and thus create a unique atmosphere.

For those who want more than just watch the hot air balloons, rides onboard of one of these silent airships can be arranged.

A highclass supporting programme offers even more to see and do. From children's entertainment to a winter market with local food and handicrafts to a real Bavarian 'Hüttengaudi' (mountain hut fun) you can enjoy this festival at the shore of Lake Tegernsee.
