Teisendorf is located at an altitude of 504 meters, at the foot of Teisenberg Mountain (1,334 meters). A state-accredited health resort consisting of the villages of Oberteisendorf and Neukirchen in Berchtesgaden County, it offers cheap and high-class accommodation. It is also the perfect base for trips to the Austrian Festival City of Salzburg, or to Lake Chiemsee; Teisendorf itself offers a magnificent mountainscape, swimming lakes, well-marked cycling trails, and a well-kept 300-kilometer network of hiking trails suitable for all ages.
