How to get there

You can reach Wasserburg easily by car, by rail, by ship and also by bicycle via the Lake Constance cycle track.

By car: The Bavarian communities on Lake Constance are relieved of through traffic by the new LI16 (old B31) highway. You can reach Wasserburg best via the Kressbronn or Lindau exits. Wasserburg is 6 km from Lindau. During your visit you can use all the parking spaces in the town free of charge.

By rail: The Wasserburg railway station lies in the centre of Wasserburg, easily accessible and immediately opposite the bus stop. You can travel to Lindau, Kressbronn and Friedrichshafen by InterRegio. There you can change to the Lindau-Friedrichshafen line.

The Aquamarin pool is also accessible via the Lake Constance cycle path.

Culture and Tradition

The picturesque peninsula with the St. Georg church and castle are among the most-photographed locations on Lake Constance. The museum in the “Malhaus”, built in 1596, offers valuable insights into the traditions of our forebears and also addresses current themes in its temporary exhibitions. The permanent exhibition regarding the author Martin Walser, who was born in Wasserburg, is one of the main sights of interest in the museum.
