Journey to the Romantic Road

The Romantic Road - from Würzburg to Füssen - grants variety: relaxation matched with adventure, town architecture and culture.

You do not necessarily have to journey in your own car: the Europabus "Romantic Road" joins all member towns along the tourist's route from Mai to October on a daily basis.

Visitors of the Romanic Road who arrive by plane, can reach these busses comfortably from the airports Frankfurt/Main, Munich or Augsburg. It is possible to book the journey beforehand or to travel individually.

Or you plan your journey by train. All larger towns are connected to train service and to the regional network of public transport. Connection to the ICE transport network is possible at Augsburg and Würzburg.

An individual journey along the Romantic Road, started at the international airports Munich or Frankfurt/Main, is easy: Just take your (rental) car onto the A 8 from Munich to Augsburg or the A 3 from Frankfurt to Würzburg and then follow the brown signs "Romantische Straße" (Romantic Road).
