Hiking

There are plenty of family-friendly hiking trails and walks in and around Munich. All trails are well marked and, equipped with the right map, you can find many hidden sights.

Cycling

Cross-country through forests or along the River Isar via Gruenwald to Wolfratshausen - all trails are different but suitable for beginners. And of course there are plenty of beer gardens where you can take a little break.

Golfing

There are many well-kept golf courses in the Munich area; some of them even host international tournaments, like the Golfclub Eichenried, where the BMW International Open has taken place since 1989.
