A holiday in Pfaffenwinkel

I totally understand them when I look around: the monks, the nuns, the priests. 159 churches and lots of monestaries lie between the rivers Lech and Loisach.
 

The clergymen were absolutely right to settle down in this Bavarian centerpiece. They always know where the best places are.

Their heaven on earth was right here. A countryside so unbelievably beautiful that it makes me gasp. The blazing sky makes it seem as if God had pointed his brightest light right to piece of ground. It reflects in myriads of ponds and lakes and somehow also in the eyes of the people who live here. And here I am, standing right in the center of Pfaffenwinkel. I get a nice warm feeling...
